Manager of the Month - February 2022

Congratulations to Luke Powley for winning Februarys Manager of the Month! Luke has recently handed over a large section of works at West End Gate, achieving access to the marketing suite for the client this was short notice, but Luke managed to achieve it. Amazing work Luke

We had a catch up with Luke and asked him to share some info about West End Gate!

What is your role and can you tell us a bit about the work you completed at West End Gate.

My role is Project manager, to date we have completed 2 phases at west end gate with a 3rd phase due to start this year.

Did you encounter any problems and how did you combat them?

Our main problem was the area becoming available to us, there was a slight delay to us starting due to other trades. We were given the same handover date but with less time to complete so towards the end of the phase we had to increase labour and working hours which wasn’t ideal, however we had to prioritise the client’s deadline. This being said we still managed to hand the area over before the client held their opening party.

Anything you would like to say about the site, highlights of this project, special features etc.

The highlight is having a great team around you, knowing their skill, and knowing how the end job will turn out. We have had nothing but praise for the quality of our work at West End Gate from the client and have remained at the top of the site trade score board throughout our time on site. I have to give thanks to having a great supervisor that understands what you’re trying to achieve and helps every step of the way!
