Manager of the Month - September 2021

Congratulations to Costa Suhan for being awarded Manager of the Month! Costa impressively led the site team at Wembley E05 which has recently been shortlisted for both a BALI award and a Pro Landscaper Podium Award. This is testament to Costa’s hard work and attention to detail which has been additionally praised in his recent first handover at Blackhorse Road.

We had a chance to speak to Costa about his recent work.

Please tell us a bit about the work you completed at Wembley?

It was the most beautiful but complex project I have ever worked on.

What was your role?

I was the Site Manager on this project, making sure that the scheme was completed safely, on time and within budget.

Did you encounter any problems within the project and how did you combat them?

There were a lot of problems and issues with the materials and drawings. However, through liaising with the client, designer and the main contractor we were able to find solutions to everything.

What have you achieved so far?

I joined this team 6 years ago. I am very lucky to have worked with a lot of good people from Elite and have learnt a lot from them. I am now in a position to manage the projects and to teach the newcomers on our team how to deliver a quality product to the client.

How is the project at Blackhorse Road coming along?

It is very nice - it is a project that includes a lot of landscaping elements on different levels of the building. Like everywhere, we have had a couple of design issues on the roof but with the designers help, we have managed to find a way to make it work. I am very happy and motivated to be a part of the Elite Landscapes team and I am ready for new challenges.
