Earth Day

Today we celebrate Earth Day.

Here at Elite, promoting a healthy and sustainable environment is one of our top priorities.

We take pride in the various projects which we are involved in, of which incorporate a vast amount of wildflower areas, trees and plant species. Kite Park, which is one of our recent projects, is a beautiful example of this plethora of nature.  

Not only are we involved in projects promoting biodiversity, we strive to only use materials which result in a sustainable environment. We use permeable paving and tree pits with tree cells which are designed to carry water underground for a longer period of time, helping drainage and removing toxins. When purchasing timber products for external landscaping projects, we ensure that the timber products are either recycled or are from well-managed sustainable sources. Where possible, we use electric power tools to ensure lower emissions and sound pollution.

We also commonly use attenuation systems which prevent water wastage by collecting and storing excess water for re-use purposes. These also help to reduce the impact of diffuse pollution by their management of water quality. We are currently installing Polypipe Attenuation systems at one of our projects, 250 City Road, pictured below.

Here at Elite, we aim to implement as many sustainable measures as possible to ensure celebration of the Earth today, and every other day.
